Update

Well, my uncle is doing very well.  In addition to replacing the valve they also had to put a stent in his neck.  Unfortunately, the heavy-duty pain medications made him nauseous and they can’t have what that could produce so they’re giving him something less powerful, thus him feeling more pain.

The strange thing is, they had him up and walking the next day and they’ll continue to increase his daily walks to avoid pneumonia.  Let’s break the ribs, pull the sternum back, insert stent in neck, replace valve in heart and then tell you to go work-out.  Brutal, but we’re very grateful.
